アジサイの花だと思っていた部分は「装飾花」と呼ばれるもので、実は「萼(がく)」だった。
真ん中にある小さなぷつぷつが本当の花で「真花」というそうだ。
ちなみに、アジサイの原産国は日本らしい。
The part that I thought was the hydrangea flower is actually called “decorative flowers,” and they are actually sepals.
The small bumps in the center are the real flowers and are apparently called “true flowers.”
By the way, it seems that Japan is the country of origin for hydrangeas.
